剧情介绍
宿命的相逢之后，佐佐木小次郎（鶴田浩二 饰）苦练技艺，一心打败宫本武藏（三船敏郎 饰）。这之后，小次郎来至江户谋求官职，期间与同在江户的武藏邂逅，两人约定东门决斗。然决斗前夜，武藏致信请求将决斗延期一年。次日武藏和城太郎（樱井将纪 饰）、熊五郎（田中春男 饰）旅行来至乡下，师徒三人一面锄地耕作，一面教习农民武艺，抵抗土匪。 这期间阿通（八千草薰 饰）和朱实（冈田茉莉子 饰）先后来此寻找武藏，朱实更在匪乱中不幸丧命。一年后，小次郎成为细川家臣，岩流岛将成为他和武藏的命运转折点……A humble and simple Takezo abandons his life as a knight errant. He's sought as a teacher and vassal by Shogun, Japan's most powerful clan leader. He's also challenged to fight by the supremely confident and skillful Sasaki Kojiro. Takezo agrees to fight Kojiro in a year's time but rejects Shogun's patronage, choosing instead to live on the edge of a village, raising vegetables. He's followed there by Otsu and later by Akemi, both in love with him. The year ends as Takezo assists the villagers against a band of brigands. He seeks Otsu's forgiveness and accepts her love, then sets off across the water to Ganryu Island for his final contest.
