"O Regresso de Amílcar Cabral" records the funeral ceremonies of the Guinean leader in Bissau, after his body was transferred from Conakry, where he was murdered on the night of January 20th 1973. The film is rare, because it was banned in Guinea-Bissau after the overthrow of Luís Cabral by Nino Vieira in 1980.
