Plot Summary:An off-beat detective story that attempts to unravel the mystery that has surrounded the Shroud of Turin since its discovery in the 14th century. The shroud bears a remarkable image--a full-length, photographic negative of a man's body: is it, as many believe, the cloth in which Christ was buried? Or is it a masterful medieval forgery?
