Plot Summary:In 1923 a Japanese comes to Munich and immediately falls in love with a street artist with a red hat, without knowing her past is. She turns to the Japanese, for the first time she thinks she has found her really great love- exotic stranger attracts her. They say a lot, but they do not understand each other - but they can show their love. Nevertheless, the relationship is doomed to failure from the beginning. Disappointment, death and loss.
超インフレに悩む一九二三年のドイツを舞台に、赤い帽子の女に魅せられた日本人青年の姿を描く。芥川龍之介の作ではないかと言われる、作者不詳の同名小説の映画化で、脚本は「水のないプール」の内田栄一、監督は「鳴呼！おんなたち 猥歌」の神代辰巳、撮影は「誘拐報道」の姫田真佐久がそれぞれ担当，プロデューサー 若松孝二 、 原正人。
