Plot Summary:Jin-sen Ho runs a small factory in the countryside of Tainan. His older parents, who have Alzheimer's disease, always chatter about the old memories that they took Jin-sen Ho to the mountains and grew pineapples in the fields. The pineapple field that was resold a long time ago has always been a deep regret for Jin-sen Ho and his father. In order to provide his son, Lin Ho, with better education , Jin-sen Ho has to take him to the art cram school in town every week. Lin Ho suffers from the forced=feeding type of education. As time goes by, the past repeats among the three generations. Some memories are lost while others continue. The Ho family gaze at the mystery of life.
何金森一家四人在台南的鄉村經營著小工廠， 略有失智的阿公何木，總是叨絮著當年帶著何 金森上山種鳳梨的往事， 那片早己轉賣的鳳梨田成為父子間不明說的遺 憾。 而為了讓兒子何林受更好的教育， 何金森每個禮拜得帶著何林到市區的美術補習 班補習， 填鴨式的教育讓何林吃盡了苦頭， 而在時光流轉間， 三代父子重拾了過去，解開了結， 原來那片紺紫色的田地從未失去， 繼續照耀家族的心。
