Plot Summary:The three-part series chronicles the military achievements of the original Amazon nomad warriors of the Central Asian grasslands in 6th century BC, examines the highly trained female gladiators of Ancient Rome in 2nd Century AD, and discovers the terrifying all-female slave raiding regiments of Dahomey, who shaped African history at the end of the 19th century.
