Plot Summary:The famous novelist Kaoru Mitarai drives drunk and hits an old woman. Her son Ryuhei, who is an obscure novelist,threatens Kaoru to let him publish her manuscript under his name. Kaoru gets mad at first but soon begins to enjoy it. She has been losing the will to write and he energizes her. 'Song of Good Old Future' wins the prize and is on the bestseller list. Ryuhei becomes famous and has an affair with young attractive editor Yuriko. The relationship between Kaoru and Ryuhei gradually changes and turns to be tragic.
女優の吉行和子とロックバンド「SOPHIA」の松岡充が主演し、著名な女性小説家と若き男性作家が奇妙な縁で結ばれ、師弟関係を超えた愛憎劇を繰り広げる姿を描く。小説家の御手洗薫は、交通事故を起こしてしまい、被害者の息子で、小説家のはしくれだという神崎龍平に脅され、龍平のゴーストライターをすることに。脅迫から始まった2人の間には次第に親愛の情がわき、師弟愛でもあり異性愛とも言える不思議な関係が続く。しかし、龍平が若く美しい編集者と関係を持ったことにより、薫と龍平の関係は悲劇に向かっていく。「ナースのお仕事」「BABY BABY BABY！」の両沢和幸監督が、自らのオリジナル脚本で手がけた。
