Plot Summary:Italy 1945: the war is ending and the iron curtain is falling down. In the north eastern part of the country partisans of different political orientation begin to question about the future of the reborn country. A communist unit in Friuli kills a group of non-communist partisans. Was the massacre ordered by the Communist Party, was the cruel commander to decide it, or was it simply the war with all its stupid acts?
