Plot Summary:The Monkey King tries to take the \"magic fan\" from Princess Iron Fan. The fan is used to stop the fires that block the heroes' passage through the Flaming Mountains. Based on the 16th-century novel, \"Journey to the West\". This silent film has been lost but inspired the later animation Princess Iron Fan (1941).
根据《西游记》改编。唐僧师徒四人行至火焰山，唯有向铁扇公主借芭蕉扇方可灭火。悟空得知，驾云往之。铁扇公主因恼恨悟空请菩萨收了红孩儿，使母子不得相见，故意不将扇子借与他。悟空想尽办法，却只拿回一把假扇。悟空又假扮牛魔王骗得扇子，中途却被牛王劫回。最后在四金刚、李天王和哪吒的帮助下终于制服牛王，铁扇公主为夫乞命，急忙献出宝扇。扇灭火焰，师徒得以前行。
