Plot Summary:According to the Bible, the Ark of the Covenant containing the tablets of the Law, the Ten Commandments dictated by Yahweh to Moses, accompanied the Hebrew people on their conquest of the Promised Land. After the destruction of the First Temple by the Babylonians in 587 BC, the sacred chest disappeared forever. Since then, the mythical Ark, with its mysterious powers, has never ceased to fire the imagination of mankind and the covetousness of treasure seekers. But did it ever exist? By combining skills and innovative technologies, and by comparing the field with biblical texts, researchers are going to make some edifying discoveries.
