Carlos Ruiz works as an operator in an industrial cannery on the island of Chiloé in southern Chile. In his leisure time, he has a plan to leave his status as a labourer to become a professional boxer named “Guru”. Rory Barrientos Lamas films in direct cinema style the transformation of this character, a working man’s hero and a documentary flashback to the famous Raging Bull.
