Plot Summary:A British-Czech co-production from British director Hannah Kodicek which looks at the postwar Communist dictatorship in Czechoslovakia through the eyes of a seven-year-old girl. Maruska grows up in Prague in the fifties, raised more by her relatives than her zealous, society-building mother.
Portrait of a family in 1950s Czechoslovakia, as seen through the eyes of a young girl who interprets political events in her own unique way, blurring fact with imagination and fantasy.
