Plot Summary:Teresa is eagerly expecting Simon's return in prayers, while his elder brother Matej has already lost his hope. Matej asks Teresa to become his wife, but as she remains silent to his proposition, Simon returns. The war has left its trace on him and gradually, despite the care and help of the others, Simon falls deeper into lethargy. What place has faith in a world, that has just lost its own beliefs?
