Plot Summary:Raphaële is a gifted young lawyer who can seem to do no wrong until the day her husband dies in mysterious circumstances. She begins to investigate the tragedy, only to discover a man she never knew. He had quit his job and was planning to buy a riverside cafe with his mistress. In the course of these revelations, Raphaële sinks deeper into melancholic soul-searching. In the eyes of her entourage, she comes to see an unpleasant reflection of herself, narcissistic, self-centered, mendacious. In fact, she has always only lived for herself. Her world collapses. In fact, is she any different from the defendants she so brilliantly represents? Doesn't she, too, have a death on her conscience?
