Plot Summary:Psycho-drama set in a mining area about the influence of ultra-orthodox Catholicism in the 1930's.
René van Nie squares up to his Catholic youth in The Deadly SIn. A double story, the film, with its imposing (black-and-white) reconstruction of life in an impoverished mineworker's family during the Thirties, is faulted only by a somewhat confused present-day section.
