Plot Summary:The Souliotes are informed that Ali Pasha is preparing to attack and push Souli. But Fotos Tzavellas and his lads are ready to defend their freedom. Ali Pasha decides to besiege Souli, but the brave Souliotes will not fall into the hands of the Turks alive. The drama culminates by finding the Souliotisses in Zalogo, singing "On the land does not live the fish ..." and sacrificing dancing and falling to the cliff with their babies in the arms and men to decide to die by blowing the monastery at Kugi.
取材自历史真实事件，1803年得到欧洲武器支援的希腊苏里奥特族人在Photos Tzavellas的领导下抵抗奥斯曼阿里总督的围攻，在抱着必死决心决战后所有妇女也都跳崖牺牲，著名油画《苏里奥特的妇女》（The Souliot Women，1827）就是以此为题材创作的
