剧情介绍
30年代的意大利受德国的影响，整个国家都笼罩在法西斯统治的紧张气氛中，犹太人的命运岌岌可危。本片的两个男主人公一个是犹太人，一个是天主教人，他们由于商业利益成为竞争对手，但他们都对世道感到无奈，并逐渐成为朋友。 2001年莫斯科电影节最佳导演奖、欧洲电影奖最佳剧本提名Two linen fabric dealers with their shops close to one another, battle against each other for more and more costumers. Umberto constantly loses clients because of the tough competition brought by Leone, who offers the best prices in the neighborhood. But they leave differences aside when the rise of Fascism places Anti-Semitic politics which rigidly control business like the one conducted by the Jewish Leone, and those new regulations are viewed by Umberto as completely unfair. The long rivalry soon becomes a great friendship.
